Wembanyama powers Spurs past Thunder as Western Conference Finals Series levels at 2-2

Victor Wembanyama produced another dominant postseason display as the San Antonio Spurs dismantled the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

The result levels the series at 2-2 and transforms the matchup into a best-of-three battle heading back to Oklahoma City.

San Antonio controlled the game from the opening stages and never allowed the Thunder to settle. A devastating 16-0 run in the first quarter immediately shifted momentum toward the Spurs, who built an advantage that eventually stretched to 25 points.

By the end of the night, San Antonio had led for nearly the entire contest.

Wembanyama takes center stage again

Wembanyama once more proved why he has become one of the most influential young players in basketball.

The Spurs star finished with:

  • 33 points
  • 8 rebounds
  • 5 assists
  • 3 blocks

His impact extended beyond the numbers. He controlled both ends of the floor and delivered one of the game's standout moments with a remarkable half-court buzzer-beater before halftime that energized San Antonio even further.

Additional support came from Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle, who each added 13 points.

Thunder offense never found rhythm

Oklahoma City's problems started early and continued throughout the night. The Thunder struggled offensively, shooting just 33 percent from the field and making only six of 33 attempts from beyond the arc. Turnovers also proved costly as they gave the ball away 20 times, leading directly to 25 Spurs points.

The 82-point total marked Oklahoma City's lowest scoring output across both regular season and playoff games in several years.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 19 points but struggled to impose himself consistently. Isaiah Hartenstein added 12 points, while Chet Holmgren contributed 10.

The absence of injured players also affected Oklahoma City's rotation and offensive flow.

Series now shifts back to Oklahoma City

Momentum has swung sharply after San Antonio's response. What initially looked like Oklahoma City taking control has now become a tightly balanced series with Game 5 carrying enormous importance.

For the Spurs, the formula was simple, defensive intensity, forcing mistakes, and allowing Wembanyama to dictate play. For the Thunder, the next challenge is recovering quickly and rediscovering the offensive identity that brought them this far.

Game 5 takes place in Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
