Pedro Neto to Al Hilal? Chelsea star edges towards Saudi move

Chelsea winger Pedro Neto is increasingly open to a move to Al Hilal, with reports suggesting the Portugal international has agreed personal terms with the Saudi Pro League club as he considers leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, the transfer is not yet finalised. Al Hilal are believed to be closing in on an agreement with Chelsea, with a fee of around €60 million (£51m) being discussed for the 26-year-old.
Neto has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham, but Al Hilal have emerged as his most likely destination.
Neto's Chelsea future becomes uncertain
Neto joined Chelsea from Wolves in 2024 for a reported £54 million and has made more than 100 appearances for the Blues over the past two seasons. His future has become increasingly uncertain following Chelsea's major investment in their attack, particularly the arrival of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million.
Rogers can operate on the right wing or in an attacking midfield role, potentially reducing Neto's chances of being a regular starter. The Portugal international is therefore understood to be considering his options, despite still having Premier League admirers.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham interested
Neto has attracted interest from several clubs in England. Manchester City have reportedly monitored the winger, while Arsenal have considered him after missing out on their pursuit of Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior.
Tottenham have also been linked with Neto, with manager Roberto De Zerbi reportedly an admirer of the former Wolves attacker. Despite that competition, the Saudi Pro League could now provide the clearest route out of Stamford Bridge.
Al Hilal move edges closer
Reports from Sky Switzerland claim Neto has agreed personal terms with Al Hilal, where he could link up with fellow Portugal internationals Rúben Neves and João Cancelo.
Al Hilal are reportedly prepared to offer Chelsea around €60 million (£51m) for his signature. The figure would represent a significant recovery for Chelsea after they initially paid approximately £54 million to sign Neto from Wolves.
Chelsea had previously been seeking around £70 million for the winger, but their reported willingness to accept a fee closer to £50 million could help accelerate negotiations.
At this stage, however, Neto's move to Al Hilal should not be considered completed. The player is showing a clear preference for the Saudi club, but the final agreement between Chelsea and Al Hilal still needs to be concluded.
Chelsea prepare for new season
Chelsea begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign away to Fulham on August 24, before facing Luton Town in the Carabao Cup three days later. With Neto's future still unresolved, Chelsea could have another major attacking decision to make before the transfer window closes.
For Al Hilal, securing Neto would add another experienced Portuguese international to their squad and strengthen their attacking options alongside Neves and Cancelo.
For now, the winger appears closer to leaving Chelsea than staying, with Al Hilal emerging as the leading destination.
