Lewandowski to depart Barcelona after winning three LaLiga titles

Poland striker Robert Lewandowski will bring his Barcelona chapter to a close following four seasons at the Catalan club, a period during which the 37-year-old contributed to securing three LaLiga championships.
Multiple media sources have indicated the veteran forward, whose contract at Barcelona runs until summer's end, has attracted interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Italy and the United States.
"After four years full of challenges and hard work, it's time to move on. I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete," Lewandowski, who has scored 119 goals for Barcelona in all competitions, posted on Instagram on Saturday.
"I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days. Catalonia is my place on Earth. Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years."
Barcelona invested an initial 45 million euros ($45.4 million) plus performance-related add-ons to secure Lewandowski's signature from Bayern Munich, where the Polish international had amassed 344 goals while capturing eight Bundesliga crowns and the Champions League trophy.
Dominant scoring exploits across three seasons
The striker finished as LaLiga's leading marksman with 23 goals during his inaugural campaign, propelling Barcelona to their first league crown in four seasons.
Lewandowski maintained his status as Barcelona's most prolific scorer throughout the subsequent two LaLiga seasons, netting 27 times in the 2024-25 campaign as the club successfully defended their championship.
The current season has proven more challenging for Lewandowski, who has battled various fitness issues, making just 15 starts among 29 LaLiga appearances while contributing 13 goals.
He entered as a substitute when Barca defeated Real Madrid 2-0 to claim LaLiga last weekend, though his crucial strike in Barcelona's 2-1 triumph at Osasuna earlier this month had positioned them to secure the championship with a Clasico triumph.
"Four seasons, three championships... Barca is back where it belongs," Lewandowski wrote.
Barcelona will wrap up their season with fixtures against Real Betis and Valencia.
