Carlos Alcaraz, the defending Wimbledon champion at 21 years old, narrowly escaped losing his title to the inspired American Frances Tiafoe, aged 26. He clinched a hard-earned victory of 5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-2 on Centre Court last Friday.
