Wozniacki declines to represent Denmark in Billie Jean King Cup tournament

Denmark will compete against Slovakia and the United States in the Billie Jean Cup in April without the involvement of Caroline Wozniacki.

The former Grand Slam champion and former World No. 1 has informed reporters that she will not be available for selection to the Danish Billie Jean Cup team.

Jens Anker Andersen, the sports director at the Danish Tennis Association, has confirmed that Caroline Wozniacki will not participate with the national team on this occasion.

"I have been in contact with Caroline, and she won't be participating this time. She is not in top form."

"It's fair enough, because she hasn't played since September. We only talked about Billie Jean Cup", says Jens Anker Andersen.

Wozniacki has not competed since her defeat to world No. 21 Beatriz Haddad Maia at the US Open last year, where the match concluded with scores of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Currently, she is ranked No. 86 in the world.
