In the competition for the backup quarterback position behind Derek Carr, Saints rookie Spencer Rattler contributed significantly by throwing a touchdown pass and orchestrating four scoring drives that amassed 24 points.
Rattler completed 7 of 13 passes for 105 yards, highlighted by a 21-yard touchdown to Equanimeous St. Brown, which concluded a 70-yard drive in the second quarter.
Starting for the Titans (3-0), No. 1 quarterback Will Levis completed 7 of 8 passes for 118 yards, leading two scoring drives. Tony Pollard opened the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run after five carries for 17 yards, before the Titans opted to rest their starters.
In the fourth quarter, Rattler directed two scoring drives that culminated in touchdown runs by undrafted rookie Jacob Kibodi, who led the Saints (1-2) with 12 carries for 59 rushing yards.
Oliver, who had previously caught a 34-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, secured a five-yard touchdown reception with 1:25 remaining, finishing the game with a team-high 52 receiving yards on three receptions for the Titans.
In another matchup, the Denver Broncos triumphed over the Arizona Cardinals with a score of 38-12, as quarterback Zach Wilson threw two touchdown passes and added a rushing touchdown, concluding the preseason for both teams.
Wilson, serving as the backup to rookie starter Bo Nix, successfully completed 16 out of 25 passes for a total of 251 yards. His performance included a 46-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Johnson and a one-yard scoring pass to Nate Adkins. Additionally, Wilson contributed to the score with a one-yard rushing touchdown, extending Denver's lead to a comfortable 24-6 late in the third quarter, bringing their record to 3-0.
In Arizona, Clayton Tune is vying with Desmond Ridder for the role of backup to starter Kyler Murray, having completed 12 of 18 passes for 119 yards.
Ridder, on the other hand, achieved 10 completions out of 16 attempts for 111 yards. Hassan Hall added to the ground game with 59 yards on 19 carries, which included a three-yard touchdown run.
In a matchup between the Commanders and the Patriots, Washington triumphed with a score of 20 to 10. The Commanders scored all their points in the final 26 minutes of the contest, overcoming New England in Landover, Maryland.
Drake Maye initiated the scoring for the Patriots (1-2) by connecting with Kevin Harris for an 18-yard touchdown with just 40 seconds remaining in the first quarter. However, New England could only manage a 38-yard field goal from Chad Ryland for the remainder of the game. Maye stepped in after veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett sustained a shoulder injury early in the first quarter.
For the Commanders (1-2), Michael Wiley rushed for a nine-yard touchdown, while Martavis Bryant caught a four-yard touchdown pass. Washington's Trace McSorley completed 12 of 21 passes for 125 yards, including the touchdown to Bryant.
