Manchester City seal WSL title in style with dominant final-day victory at West Ham

Manchester City rounded off their Women's Super League title-winning campaign with a commanding 4-1 triumph at West Ham United, with striker Bunny Shaw bagging a brace and veteran midfielder Laura Coombs marking her professional farewell with a goal.
The title had already been confirmed after rivals Arsenal were held to a draw by Brighton & Hove Albion, but City were determined to sign off in emphatic fashion. Defender Jade Rose set the tone with an opener in the 13th minute, before Shaw — whose future at the club remains uncertain amid reported transfer interest — added to the tally in the 57th and 72nd minutes. The goals pushed her season haul to a league-leading 21, before the 35-year-old Coombs capped her City career with a memorable strike in what proved a fitting send-off.
City ended the campaign on 55 points, four clear of Arsenal, who signed off with a 3-1 away win over Liverpool.
Elsewhere, Chelsea's remarkable run of six consecutive WSL titles came to an end this season, though they secured a third-place finish and Champions League football for next term. Departing striker Sam Kerr wrote a fitting farewell of her own, netting the only goal in a 1-0 win over fourth-placed Manchester United.
Tottenham Hotspur climbed to fifth after Toko Koga's stoppage-time strike earned them a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, finishing on 36 points — nine ahead of sixth-placed London City Lionesses, who edged past Aston Villa 2-1 thanks to a late Freya Godfrey goal.
On Merseyside, Maz Pacheco's goal deep into stoppage time secured a nervy 1-0 win over bottom club Leicester City. With the WSL set to expand to 14 teams next season, Leicester will face Charlton Athletic in a promotion/relegation playoff next Saturday.
